ATLANTA, Ga – July 16, 2009 – Atlanta music legends and Entertainer of the Year artists Banks & Shane and Ron Kimble will share the stage for the first time during a River Concert scheduled for August 8 at the home of W. Cliff Oxford, host and creator of the event.
The concert will be held as part of the social schedule for Oxford's Entrepreneur Advisors group. Oxford, an Atlanta entrepreneur who speaks internationally on entrepreneurial education and the emerging economy, is president of Entrepreneur Advisors and creator of the Atlanta CBS TV show, "The Next Tycoon." The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m.
"While it's easy to see Ron and Banks & Shane as gifted entertainers, they are also outstanding entrepreneurs in their own right," Oxford said. "They have sustained long careers in the hardest of industries with entrepreneurial instincts and zeal. It is a privilege to celebrate both as entertainers and entrepreneurs. Also, with entrepreneurs being some of the hardest working people on the planet, sometimes it's good just to have some fun, and this is clearly part of it."
The limited-seating concert is for members and clients of the Entrepreneur Advisors community as well as for invited leaders. For invitations, contact Zeina Skaf at

About the Performers
Vocalists Banks Burgess and Paul Shane, known to fans since 1972 as Banks & Shane, have recorded a dozen albums, featuring Banks on banjo and guitar, and Shane on guitar and trombone. While the two have performed internationally, fans in Atlanta best know them for their restaurant and supper-club acts in Atlanta's Underground and in Sandy Springs from 1983 to 1992, and for their concerts to support charity events throughout the state. A musician since the age of 12 and stage act since the age of 19, Ron Kimble has pleased fans with his smooth vocals and accompanying guitar in Atlanta-area venues since the 1960s, when then-unfamiliar performers such as Jimmy Buffett and Chris Kristofferson would open for him. His most familiar performances were held for 14 years at Hemingways on North Druid Hills Road.
